Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account: your email address and password, handled by Supabase Auth. We never see your password in readable form.
• Brokerage data (read-only, via SnapTrade): trade fills, positions, and related account activity you authorize — used solely to build your journal, reviews, and statistics.
• Your content: notes, edits, setups, and lessons you write.
• Journal text from earlier versions: older versions of the app offered optional voice notes, transcribed on your device by Apple's on-device speech recognition, with only the resulting text stored — the audio never reached our servers and was never stored anywhere. That feature has been removed and the app no longer requests microphone access. Text you saved then is still yours: shown in the app, included in your export, and deleted when you delete your account or the trade.
• Leaderboard identity (opt-in): if — and only if — you join the leaderboard, the username and avatar you choose, your country, and your percent return with its trade count are shown to other users. Dollar amounts are never published. You can leave at any time in Settings, which removes your rows immediately.
• Waitlist: email and the country you selected.
• Basic diagnostics: crash and sync logs to keep the Service working.

2. What we do with it

One thing: run your journal. Fills are processed to build trades, charts, and statistics; trade context — including any journal text saved by earlier versions — is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write Maru's reviews and to file your stated reasons with the right trades. Under our agreement with Anthropic, your data is not used to train their models. Numbers are computed in our code, not by the AI. We do not sell or rent your data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers — and our broker-data agreements prohibit resale outright.

3. Who touches your data (processors)

SnapTrade (broker connectivity), Supabase (database/auth), Render (hosting), Anthropic (AI review text), Apple (subscriptions/TestFlight), Plausible (website analytics). Each receives only what its role requires.

3a. Website analytics

This website uses Plausible Analytics to count page views. Plausible sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track you across other websites — there is nothing to opt out of and no consent banner to click. It tells us how many people visited a page, not who they were. The TradeGreen app itself contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.

4. Security

Broker access is read-only by design. Connection secrets are stored in a restricted schema unavailable to client apps; access to your rows is enforced with row-level security tied to your account.

5. Deletion & your rights

Step-by-step instructions, and exactly what is removed, are on the Delete your account page.

Delete your account in Settings: your journal, notes, profile, and broker connection records are removed, and the SnapTrade user is deleted (which revokes broker access). You may also request a JSON export of your data. EU/UK users: you have GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability — email us and we'll honor them.

6. Retention

Data is kept while your account is active. Waitlist emails are kept until launch invitations complete or you ask to be removed. Diagnostics are retained briefly for debugging.

7. Children

TradeGreen is not for anyone under the age required to hold a brokerage account, and never knowingly collects children's data.
