Where TradeGreen differs
These points are about TradeGreen only. They are not claims about what Tradervue does or does not do.
- Read-only broker sync. TradeGreen connects read-only to more than 20 brokers. It can see your fills; it cannot place orders or move money.
- Each closed trade is written up automatically. When a position closes, the app journals it for you, so the record exists even on days you do not open the app.
- Statistics per setup. Win rate, profit factor, R-multiple and expectancy are computed for each of your own setups, so you can see which ones pay and which ones cost you.
- Phone first. TradeGreen runs on iPhone and Android.
- One price. $10/month or $84/year, which works out to $7/month billed annually.
On price alone: Tradervue's Silver plan is $29.95/mo and TradeGreen is $10/month, as both companies listed them on 7 October 2026. Tradervue also has a free plan, which costs less than either paid option.
When Tradervue is the better choice
A fair comparison has to say when the other product fits better. Based on what Tradervue lists on its own pricing page:
- You want depth of reporting. Tradervue lists more than 100 advanced reports, plus MFE/MAE statistics. If you like slicing your results many ways, that breadth is a stated strength.
- You want mentoring. Mentoring is listed as a feature. If a mentor relationship matters to you, Tradervue lists “Unlimited Mentors / Mentees” on both Silver and Gold.
- You want to start at $0. Tradervue has a free plan. If cost is the deciding factor and the free plan covers what you need, it is cheaper than TradeGreen.
- You trade futures or forex. Tradervue's plan comparison lists futures and forex support. TradeGreen focuses on stocks and options at supported brokers.
- You want charts and exit analysis. Automatic price charts on multiple timeframes are listed, and exit analysis is listed on Gold.
If those are what you need most, Tradervue may serve you better, and that is a reasonable choice.
Questions to ask before you choose
Before you pick either tool, answer these honestly. They matter more than any feature list:
- Will you open it? A journal you never look at is worth nothing. Pick the one that fits where you already are, desktop or phone.
- Is your broker supported? Check both lists for your exact broker before paying.
- What question do you want answered? If it is which of your setups make money, you need setup tags and per-setup statistics. If it is how a trade unfolded bar by bar, you need replay or charts.
- What will it cost over a year? Compare the annual figures, not only the monthly ones, and check the vendor page on the day you decide.
How to switch
Switching does not have to mean losing your history. A sensible order:
- Keep your Tradervue records. If Tradervue offers an export, save a copy of your trade history before you change anything. TradeGreen does not import other journals' files, so treat that export as your archive.
- Connect your broker to TradeGreen. The connection is read-only. New closed trades are journaled automatically from then on.
- Tag your setups. Give each trade a setup name so the per-setup statistics have something to group by. If you have never defined your setups, the trading plan template is a good place to start.
- Run both for a few weeks if you like. There is no rule that says you must cancel on day one. Compare what each tool tells you about the same trades, then keep the one you actually open.
If you want to sanity-check numbers by hand while you compare, the R-multiple calculator and profit factor calculator use the same formulas the app does. For a side-by-side of several journals on one page, see TradeGreen compared.
Summary
Tradervue and TradeGreen both pull trades from your broker. Tradervue lists a free plan, Silver at $29.95/mo and Gold at $49.95/mo, with a large reporting suite and mentoring. TradeGreen is $10/month or $84/year, runs on iPhone and Android, writes up each closed trade for you and breaks your results down by setup. Pick the one whose strengths match how you review your trading. If you are new to journaling, how to keep a trading journal covers the habit whichever tool you choose.
